Meet Reecess, an up-and-coming Producer and DJ who's dedicated to putting Cornish talent on the musical map, which you can see for yourself on any digital platform or media outlet! Reece has music in his blood; raised as a drummer from the age he could sit upright, his father taught him the skills of the drum kit, being a seasoned musician in his own right.

 

The desire for a groovin’ future led Reece to college, where he found himself undecided on whether music could be a viable career or better left a hobby. However he took the leap and enrolled on a Music Production and Sound engineering Diploma. It was in that very building that he made two key realistions, 1. He was destined to follow the path of musical prowess until its very end, and 2. He knew enough about music to know he was still clueless. It was time to step it up and really go all in by taking on an Electronic Music Production degree. £27,000 and plenty of Pot Noodles later, he graduated his BA Hons course, and alongside talented fellow artist and friend Construkt, he opened Offkey Events with the philosophy that the struggles they had both faced finding opportunities could be bypassed by simply making it for themselves!

 

They began to approach venues, performed at a variety of locations in the South West, and eventually made their way onto the Audiowave radar. And the rest is history… Today Reece is pressing forward with his DJing career, constantly putting out new music and interacting with his audience, and always looking for the next gig or lineup to jump on. His ambition is a pursuit which he will never quit, never catch, and never look back on, and he’s always looking forward to meeting the future with open arms!
